Ryan
Ryan developed an early passion for engineering and technology, growing up alongside the burgeoning internet and tech industry in the mid-1990s. Self-taught in hardware and software, he mastered skills from building computers to basic coding. At just 14 years old, Ryan leveraged this knowledge to launch a small business selling computer hardware, software, networking equipment, and services to individuals and local businesses. This startup, driven entirely by word-of-mouth and referrals, ultimately generated over $1 million in annual sales.
At age 17, Ryan entrusted his business to friends and accepted a full scholarship to the University of Florida. While at college, he ran several successful small ventures to cover housing and living expenses, building on his real-world sales experience. After graduating, he returned to his hometown and joined Cintas in corporate business-to-business sales. Over the next decade, Ryan married, started a family, and rose through the ranks as a top national sales representative.
Seeking a career shift, he earned his insurance license in 2018 and excelled as a health and life insurance broker, consistently generating over $1 million in personal sales annually. While leading a sales team at a local brokerage, Ryan met Hamid, Matthew, and Angel. Discovering their complementary expertise in tech, sales, and coding, they formed the RipDrip team, driven by a shared vision to automate repetitive manual sales processes.
Hamid
Hamid was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Coming from a family of intellectuals, professors, and engineers, Hamid was born with a keen interest in, and received rigorous training in high-level mathematics and problem solving as a child. Upon moving to Connecticut in 2012 with his family, Hamid quickly taught himself to speak English fluently, despite not knowing a word of the language prior.
Throughout high school, he ranked very highly in mathematics and national marketing competitions. Hamid is also an accomplished artist, excelling in both oil painting and piano. Upon graduating high school, Hamid moved to Florida to attend the University of Tampa, majoring in business. While there, Hamid took leadership roles with the American Marketing Association and the Sales Institute of Excellence, and was responsible for leading highly ranked teams in international collegiate marketing and sales competitions.
Upon graduating, Hamid took a corporate job implementing estate planning for ultra high net worth individuals. While highly successful in this endeavor, Hamid suffered a terrible car wreck that left him paralyzed with a low chance of survival. Miraculously, Hamid managed to not only survive but to thrive, regaining full mobility through dedication, perseverance, and sheer willpower.
With this “second chance” at life, Hamid decided to leave the corporate world to set out on his own as an independent insurance broker. Hamid swiftly distinguished himself as an exceptional insurance broker, demonstrating a keen aptitude for the profession. However, he soon identified numerous inefficiencies in the standard sales processes that were widely accepted within the industry.
Seeing a problem that deserved a solution, Hamid approached a fellow broker and friend, Ryan, and his brilliant programmer friend from high school, Angel, with a seemingly impossible plan to “automate everything”.
Angel
Angel, a Connecticut native, grew up immersed in technology due to his father’s career in telecommunications during the late 1990s and early 2000s. This early exposure sparked a passion for video game development, leading him to begin learning programming in the fourth grade.
By high school graduation in 2015, he had already created several small game demos. Immediately after graduating, Angel joined a local software company, where he quickly rose to a senior developer role. Over nearly a decade, he became a cornerstone of the organization. With extensive experience gained from an early start and continuous professional growth, Angel possesses a depth of knowledge across multiple technology stacks that surpasses many of his peers.
Driven by intuition and expertise, he is committed to delivering high-quality code in an industry where most prioritize cutting corners, half-measures and shortcuts over excellence.
Matthew
Matthew, a Florida native, developed resilience and a strong work ethic through a challenging childhood, qualities that have propelled his professional success.
After high school, he entered the hospitality industry, advancing from busboy to bartender, where he refined his customer service and interpersonal skills. Transitioning to motorcycle sales, Matthew sharpened his sales expertise over two years. Motivated by a desire for financial stability, he joined the insurance industry in 2022, thriving in a field that rewarded his dedication.
Recognizing inefficiencies in his processes, Matthew, though initially lacking coding knowledge and entirely self-taught, diligently pursued expertise through online resources, transforming into a proficient coder. Remarkably, within weeks of OpenAI releasing new voice-AI technology, he built a working prototype for an outbound AI voice agent. This innovative demo, showcased to fellow brokers Hamid and Ryan, generated significant excitement, demonstrating his potential and securing RipDrip’s enthusiasm to bring him onto the team.
After six months of intense self-directed study, Matthew not only overcame his lack of technical knowledge but also emerged as a skilled innovator. Now leading RipDrip’s R&D department, he drives the development of groundbreaking “blue ocean” products, leveraging his expertise as a master automation workflow builder and his client-focused sales background to advance the company’s mission of “automate everything”.
